Maddox Alexander Munsell

was born at 9:42 on Thursday, May 21st. He was 7lbs and 9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He is perfect in every way.

Hey have you heard the news???

I'm having a baby tomorrow at 9am!!!! I cannot wait to meet my son! I will try to get pictures posted in the next few days. Wish us well!!!

No Such Luck....

trying to get the little man to turn. The version went fine (yes it hurts) but he just wasn't budging. I am glad we tried because I needed to know that I did everything I could to have a vaginal birth. We are scheduling a c section for 2 weeks from today and yes there is a tiny chance he could turn on his own. Mentally I am just planning on the c section and if he turns great. I am disappointed. I really wanted a natural birth, but all that matters is that I have a healthy baby so I'm fine with it.

Ummm crazy...........my baby boy will be in my arms in 14 days!!!!

Breech Baby

We just found out today that our little guy is breech. Ughhh one of my biggest fears! I have worked so hard to prepare to have this little man naturally and I have to admit I am a little upset. We went to over 20 hours of Natural Childbirth class, I have read so many books, and have practiced so many positions and breathing techniques. All I really want is a healthy baby and that really is all that matters to us, but it would be nice if I didn't have to get a c section. C Sections, while performed all the time, do have a greater risk to both the baby and me. We are going in Thursday to try the External Cephalic Version, where they try to turn him and if it doesn't work then we will be scheduling the section. The doctor said we have a 50/50 chance of turning him so wish us luck! Turn little man!!

The most amazing baby shower ever!!!

It was so beautiful (although crazy windy) for my baby shower last Saturday. My friends went crazy and made it so special. WOW did we get spoiled. We got pretty much everything from our registry plus an insane amount of clothes. This little boy is going to be stylin!

Wonderful food, friends and family! There was an adorable watermelon baby carriage filled with fresh fruit. So cute!

My favorite desserts.....petifore cakes, chocolate covered strawberries and thin mints!

My friend Brooke who hosted the shower decorated these little petifore cakes herself. Aren't they awesome?

We got so many cute monkey things. Here is an adorable stuffed monkey that is sitting on the top of a diaper cake.

One of the happiest days of my life. I just kept thinking this is MY baby shower. It was amazing!

We went and had a 4D ultrasound yesterday and it was amazing. He is so beautiful and I am completely in awe of him. He kept playing with his entire leg in front of his face as you can see in the second picture. Flexible little guy! Here are some pics.

How am I going to get bigger...

than I already am? Is it even possible? I am on track with my weight gain but jeez I feel enormous!! Totally worth it of course. I'm not complaining at all just stating for the record that I feel like a large house.

These are from a weding in Dallas that we went to a couple weeks ago and granted it is an empire cut maternity dress but I have to say there is no debating the fact that I am with child. Haha. I'm off to eat some fudge. Thats should help right?

Oh and also HAPPY 3rd TRIMESTER TO ME!!

23 1/2 weeks

Hello fellow bloggers that never read my blog anymore due to my terrible updating. Sorry friends....

Just a quick update on everything. I had a doc appointment today and all is well with the little guy. Heartbeat in the 140s as always. Measuring right on track and headed back in 4 weeks. I am looking forward to appointments after that as they will only be 2 weeks apart. I always get a little freaked the last week or so before my appointment. I just think 4 weeks is to long to have to wait check on him. I am happier lately though because I can really feel him moving around and it's so reassuring.

His nursery is really coming along. I will post some pics when we get a little further along.

And finally I am starting to let some of the fear go as we get closer and closer to viability. Don't get me wrong I still get nervous about ohhhh every 5 minutes, but each week that goes by I know that I am getting closer to this little guy having a real chance. I mean I am planning on him staying in there for another ohhhhh 16 weeks or so buuttttttttt getting closer to viability makes me feel better.

I can't believe I am 19 weeks and 5 days............almost half way there!!!!

Well we confirmed yesterday that we have a little boy on the way. We are so excited and are really going to start getting the nursery together (paint, chair rail, closet stuff.)now that we know. We have already pulle dup the carpet and had the hard wood floors underneath refinished (they were a mess). Below are some pictures of what we have so far. This is the furniture and the bedding that we already have. My parents bought us the bookcase and all of his bedding for Christmas and we bought the crib and changing table. Also I should note that all of these pics are just from the websites not of our nursery. I emailed it to one friend and they thought I had already picked a name because one of the pictures has the name Tristan on the wall. We are still working on a name. We are painting his room a lovely shade of blue this weekend...... so happy!
